Database Marketing
What a great expression, shrouded in mystery. Actually, it's very simple. You use your database to do your marketing to make the sales to fill your bank account.
But, the complexity begins when you ask the question: "How is it done"? Well, it is a lot of work with number crunching and analyzing the outcome of statistics. Not to mention understanding the statistics. Then you do your thinking, planning, preparing, re-thinking and acting upon the results of your research.
Nevertheless, the foundation of all this is a well designed, highly flexible database to provide all the functionality you need now and in the future to further the growth of your business.
This is, however, where we must caution you. We're NOT the marketing gurus. We're the technical experts. But, your database should be created by marketing experts (your choice) working together with database experts (us) and, of course, YOU keeping in mind your business goals by focusing on fulfilling Your Customers' Wants and Needs.
We've seen businesses starting their database as an afterthought – just to print some labels. That's not what this is all about. What you need is a database integrated with your marketing efforts to create a real-world Customer Relations Management System (CRM) that delivers the goods for your customers and you.
Don't take shortcuts. Make a real effort to do things right – right from the start. If you pay too much you lose a little money. But, if you pay too little, the thing you bought might not be up to the task and you lose your shirt.
A well planned database pays for itself, many times over.
